Cookie Policy

Last updated

We keep the use of cookies on this site deliberately minimal. This page explains what is set, what it does and how you can change your settings.

These policies are published in good faith and describe how Executive Chauffeurs UK works in practice. They are reviewed annually and reissued sooner where our operation or the law changes; the date at the head of each page shows when the current version was issued. If anything here is unclear, or you need a detail that is not published, our client service desk will answer on WhatsApp at +44 7775 554848 or through the contact page.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, work in comparable ways. Together they let a site remember something between one page and the next.

Cookies set by this website are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose content appears on a page are third-party cookies. Session cookies are removed when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a defined period.

2. The cookies we use

The site relies on strictly necessary cookies and on browser storage that keeps the state of the journey planner as you move through its steps, so that a part-completed quote request is not lost when you navigate. Without these the site cannot work as intended.

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not permit third parties to track visitors across other websites from here. Where we use analytics, it is configured to report aggregate usage rather than to identify individuals.

If embedded content is added to a page in future, such as a map or a video, that provider may set its own cookies. We will update this page and the consent controls before any such content is introduced.

3. Categories in use

  • Strictly necessary: session state, security and load balancing. Set without consent because the site cannot function without them.
  • Functional: remembering preferences you have set, such as a partially completed quote request. Cleared when the session ends.
  • Analytics: aggregate measurement of page views and navigation paths, used only where consent has been given.
  • Advertising: not used on this website.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, usually under privacy or site settings. You can also browse in a private window, which discards cookies at the end of the session.

Blocking all cookies will stop the journey planner from retaining its state, so a quote request may need to be completed in a single pass. Useful guidance for consumers is published by the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

6. Cookies and personal data

Some cookie and storage identifiers are personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where that is the case, they are covered by our Privacy Policy and by our Data Protection and GDPR Statement, including the rights described there.

Cookie data is not used to identify passengers, is not linked to booking records, and is not shared with partner operators.

7. Changes and contact

We review this page whenever the technology behind the site changes and at least annually. The date at the head of the page shows when the current version was issued.

Questions about cookies are welcome through either of our contact routes: the WhatsApp client service desk on +44 7775 554848 and the contact page at executive-chauffeurs.uk/contact. Anything that concerns personal data is passed to the director responsible for data protection.

Fixed price, confirmed in writing

Give us the route. A quotation will follow.

Everything you enter in the quote form lands with our client service desk as a WhatsApp message. No call centre sits in between, and you never wait on hold. You'll have a fixed price before you travel.
